Samuel Rodigast

German Reformed pastor and hymn writer whose most famous work is "Werde munter, mein Gemüte" ("Be Alert, My Mind"), a morning hymn of significant theological depth and musical merit. Rodigast's hymns were influential in German Protestant traditions and remain sung in modern hymnals.
