Samuel Longfellow

American Unitarian minister and poet, brother of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, who contributed numerous hymns to Unitarian and liberal Protestant hymnals. He compiled and edited several hymn collections and wrote hymn texts reflecting transcendentalist and progressive theological perspectives.
