Judson Wheeler Van DeVenter

American evangelist, hymn lyricist, and musician associated with the Holiness and early Pentecostal movements. Van DeVenter wrote "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus" (1896), an influential evangelistic hymn emphasizing personal commitment and discipleship. His hymns became staples in evangelical and Holiness church worship throughout the 20th century.
