Joseph Hart

English Calvinist minister and hymn writer whose works were published posthumously in 1759 and embraced by evangelical and Methodist congregations. He wrote approximately 120 hymns emphasizing themes of sin, grace, and redemption with strong doctrinal content suited to 18th-century Revival preaching.
